This show is an adaption of Gerald Durrell books. These were written about the time they spent on the sun-dappled Greek island of Corfu.

After looking at the show, its cast and its roots. We will see where you can find it online, and how you can watch the tales of the intrepid widow who decamps from England to some sunnier climbs.
What is the Durrells?
The TV series is based on real-life events of the Durrell family. In 1935, Louisa Durrell decamps from dreary England.
With her, she takes her 4 recalcitrant children ages, 11 to 21 from England to a sun-drenched Greek island of Corfu.
The series was brought to life by Simon Nye who has written plenty of other TV shows over the years.
With a family facing financial crisis, Keeley Hawes (Upstairs, Downstairs fame) stars as an intrepid widow after the death of her husband.
Hawes (Upstairs, Downstairs,) stars in the lead role while a group of other actors make up the remainder of the family.
Josh O’Connor plays Lawrence Durrell and has been in many other great TV shows such as Peaky Blinders, Father Brown and Doctor Who.
He was 21 on this adaptation, yet in real life, he was a little older, so there was some artistic license involved with the creation of the Durrells.
Milo Parker stars as the inspiration behind the story and plays Gerald Durrell. It was his trilogy of books that all the takes were taken.
Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals was written in 1956. After My Family and Other Animals came the second in 1969 with Birds, Beasts, and relatives followed by the last in 1978 The Garden of the Gods.
The last two of the siblings are made up of Callum Woodhouse who portrays Leslie Durrell, and the sister, Margo played by Daisy Waterstone.
While there are no more series of The Durrells, there were rumours of some other content from the team behind it as there is still lots to the story to be told.
Now we will look at where to find the show online, and how to bypass the restrictions.
Where to Watch the Durrells Online
The Durrells was written for ITV in the UK, while on American TV when it was aired, it was called The Durrells in Corfu.
To watch ITV online is straightforward once you have a VPN in place. Before looking at how to sign up for this UK streaming service, we will see how a VPN manages to enable this.
How Does VPN Work?
Most geo-restrictions are all based around IP addresses, and each country will have a large pool of these for users to use when they sign up for an internet connection.
Once you sign up for a VPN service, this creates a tunnel between two endpoints, one being your home connection. The other endpoint can be anywhere around the world where they place a VPN server.
Because the larger VPN providers have thousands of these servers scattered around, they can make you appear to be in any country.
All it takes on the user’s end is to make sure they are connected, and they change the end server to any specific place they want to be.
These tunnels, which are created by the VPN provider, are encrypted; this means as your data travels through these, no one can see what you are doing while you are online.
It is this encryption that keeps your anonymity and makes sure no one can follow you to steal your personal information.
In this example, you will install a VPN client, and then change the country to England, and when you sign up for the iTV Hub, the streaming service checks the IP address, and it will see an English one.
The best VPN to offer all this, and much more is ExpressVPN. It delivers the fastest streaming speeds with its server of over 3,000 servers in 94 countries.
